Grand Opening of Heath’s Model Works
Welcome fellow modelers! After considerable thought I decided to do what I have wanted for decades…and that is to open my own legitimate business. While modeling and 3D printing scale model parts was not what I was thinking 25 years ago, the excitement and motivation are the same as it was then. It is with great pleasure I offer my 3D printed parts.
All the 3D printed parts you will currently find in my store I personally created in CAD. In most cases I create them based on pictures I find online as well as similar existing styrene model car kits. The first wave of parts offered are mainly for a 1969 Road Runner interior to allow someone to take the existing 1968 AMT Road Runner chassis and adorn it with the old (but sharply detailed) 1969 JoHan body. I am working on several other similar parts to allow one to model a 1968 GTX using the AMT 69 kit as well.
A little about me. I am 51 years young. I am a car nut as was my dad, and his dad. Countless hours of my childhood revolved around all things with internal combustion engines. This not only included real cars, go-carts, and snowmobiles...it also included a great love of building model cars. This business takes my 43 years of modeling classic cars and combines it with (gulp) my 28 years of solid modeling experience and mixes it with my more recent infatuation with 3D printing. I hope you can see (and enjoy) the passion I have for detail in my products.
